History

When returning home from Skopje, the brother of Franz Joseph Banner Banera (brought another ball in Jagodina) comes the idea to organize the first official football match in Jagodina. The club was formed in 1919 as SK Dača, then changed its name to SK Jagodinski, followed by FK Polet, before finally becoming FK Jagodina in 1981.

For the 2008-09 season FK Jagodina gained the right to, for the first time in its history, compete in the country's top football league - Jelen Super Liga. The club did so by finishing second in the Serbian Prva liga 2007-08 season thus earning itself a direct spot in the top league. The city ​​mayor Dragan "Palma" Marković announced that the club received 100,000 from an Austrian sponsor. The club stated high ambitions by beating Red Star and Partizan at Jagodina Stadium and wants to qualify for the UEFA Cup.

The club's previous top result was qualifying for the Serbian first league in 1944, but it was not held the following season.[1]

Stadium

The Stadium in Jagodina can hold 15,000 people. It was partly reconstructed in 2007. New seats were put and the roof was constructed in the West stand along with VIP rooms. It is planned to install reflectors by September.

In September 2009 new roof was constructed on the North Stand.

The club's supporters are known as Extreme Jagodina.
